This year’s WWDC was probably the longest Apple keynote event ever. The marathon two and a half hours long was jam packed with one announcement after another. With so much stuff to cover, it was expected that Apple would skim through one of the updates and it happened to be tvOS.Although tvOS was the first in the list of software updates, it hardly got any stage time. Tim Cook didn’t even bother calling a presenter for the update and made the solitary announcement himself. It was a big announcement nonetheless.
To everyone’s delight, Tim Cook confirmed that Amazon Prime app is coming to Apple TV later this year. If you are an Apple TV user, you would be fist pumping in excitement. So did we!
Although no confirmed date all announced, just knowing that Amazon Prime is finally making its way to the Apple TV is a big relief. It was the one app that everyone was waiting for.
Yes, we surely wish that Apple had a bagful of updates lined up for the Apple TV, but if we were given a choice to pick just one update then if would have been Amazon Prime only. So, no complaints!
