Truecaller Chat feature, which became available on Android devices last year has now come to iPhones, and for those of you out there who are probably wondering what in god’s name Truecaller Chat even is, here’s the rundown.
Truecaller Chat
If you have the Truecaller app (and tend to get sweaty palms when an unknown number calls you), you know that this app is a true blessing as it lets you know who’s calling you. Whether it’s a spam number, a call you can absolutely avoid, or a friend who’s number you lost it shows the name of the caller beforehand. And now, an app update (version 10.5) has brought a new feature to Truecaller for iPhone – Truecaller Chat.
What it basically does is act as an instant text message service that allows you to share photos, videos, etc using the Truecaller app itself. SMS charges don’t apply and you can block spam massagers. Other features of the app include getting notified when someone views your profile and being able to subscribe to Truecaller Gold (which we wouldn’t recommend as it’s a sketchy thing that’s quite expensive and provides no real value addition.
So do you think you’ll jump on this chance to use Truecaller Chat or stick with the million other message services like iMessage, Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, Hike Messenger, etc?
