All of the Apple devices — iPhone, iPad, iPod Apple Watch, Apple TV, and all the Macs — now have access to their incremental software updates. These updates come as Apple is preparing for the WWDC in June, where it will be releasing bigger software updates.
Here’s what’s new with each of them:
iOS 10.3.2
- Mostly bug fixes and security patches
- Security upgrades
- Most affected apps/software are — Safari, notifications, CoreAudio , AVEVideoEncoder, iBooks, WebKit
Available for all iPhones (including and) after the iPhone 5 , iPad fourth generation and later, and the iPod touch 6th generation and later devices.
macOS 10.2.5
The release note of this update by Apple says:
“The macOS Sierra 10.12.5 update improves the security, stability and compatibility of your Mac, and is recommended for all users.”
- Corrects faulty audio playback over USB headphones
- Prepares the Mac for the coming major macOS 10.3 update
- Extends compatability with Windows 10 Creator Update using Boot Camp
tvOS 10.2.1 and watch OS 3.2.2
The tvOS update is avaiblable for Apple TV fourth gen or later, and the watchOS update is for Apple Watches. Aagain, like the previous two software updates, these are mainly under-the-hood improvements, and are essential for preparing your device for the better software updates coming next month.
The WWDC, which is Apple’s annual software event is scheduled for June 5th as of now. We are likely to see the following software updates in the event — iOS 11, macOS 10.13, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11.
