Apple’s voice assistant Siri appears on the iPhone, the iPad, the Mac and now on the HomePod. It is a useful feature for things like setting reminders and starting the HomeKit scenes, but as it turns out, it also has quite an uncanny sense of humour!

Apple has taught its digital assistant some hilarious jokes, and instilled in it a killer personality. With the recent additions, Siri jokes repertoire have expanded significantly. You need to ask for jokes several times before coming across something repetitive. Siri also appears to have new ‘knock knock’ and dad jokes.

Siri is regularly updated by Apple with new content to impart it with expanded capabilities. For example, when the Batman LEGO movie was released, Siri promoted it with a series of funny responses to the query “Hey Computer”, and when Pokemon Go was launched, Siri was updated with various Pokemon related responses.

To most of your questions, Siri will give a standard response with the information you need, but there are some statements and questions that will trigger some hysterical responses. Below are some Siri dad jokes that we found really funny:

    What is Siri?

    “Yours truly.”

    What does Siri mean?

“It’s a riddle wrapped in an enigma, tied with a pretty ribbon of obfuscation.”

    Are you are a robot?

“Well, I don’t want to brag, but I got a B+ on the Turing Test!”

Do I look fat in this?

    “On a scale of 1 to 10, I’ll bet you’re a 42”

When is the world going to end?

“I don’t know, but I wouldn’t worry about it. There are other perfectly good universes.”

What is your best pick up line?

“Is your name Bluetooth? Because I am really feeling a connection.”, “ Like the ideal vacuum, you are the only thing in my universe.”, “You auto-complete me”.

    Where does Santa live?

“The North Pole. I can see his house from the cloud”

Siri is often criticized for shortcomings in comparison to other AI-based offerings from competing companies like Google’s Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa, which is mainly due to Apple’s intense focus on protecting user privacy. Apple now aims to make major improvements to Siri and has recently hired the former Google AI chief John Giannandrea.
