Since the launch of the Galaxy S10+, it has been continually pitted against the iPhone Xs Max, and for a good reason too. It’s the only Samsung phone that has a chance against the supersized 2018 iPhone model. In the S10+ vs XS Max speed test, the former has definitively outshone the latter. And now, we’ve taken the next step with a battery life comparison. So, let’s see which one wins this round.
Battery Specifications
When it comes to the product specifications, the S10+ has an impressive 4100 mAh battery. iPhone XS Max, on the other hand, comes with a comparatively disappointing 3174 mAh batter. To add further salt to the wound, the S10+ is also more power efficient in terms of the display and a couple of other features. So, it really comes as no surprise that the S10+ clearly won this round.
The Battle
The Toms Guide Show conducted this test. To level out the playing field, both phones’ screen brightness was set to 150 nits, and all browsing was down using T-Mobile’s LTE network. The competition entailed surfing the Internet, and the Galaxy S10+ won by a full two hours! The XS Max lasted for 10 hours 38 minutes, while the S10+ gave its user 12 hours and 28 minutes of browsing power. What a disappointment for all Apple lovers out there!
But to be fair the XS Max, it holds up pretty well given its subpar battery pack. But it just cannot win against what the S10+ is packing. So now the question hangs. Will Apple’s 2019 iPhones (if and when they’re released) be able to beat the S10+ or will they do fall short? Only time will tell!
