Reliance Jio is supposed to be the next big thing in the telecom sector. In an industry that’s already flooded with thousands of plans from seasoned competitors, Jio is aiming to break the mould and redefine the way we experience mobile services. Sounds impressive!
However, for a brand that promises to bring a fresh outlook to the industry, its website is a comical irony. That’s because Jio’s website homepage is a direct copy of Apple’s iOS 10 microsite! Don’t believe me, see for yourself:

If you open the sites and scroll through, you’ll find that even the animation is same. You could have added some originality, Reliance!
It is sad that our first instinct these days is to copy and not to innovate. Be it Bollywood blockbusters or website design, we are always looking to rip things off instead of building them up.
They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If that were the case, we sure as hell know how to flatter really well. How about we set some standards for being innovators now?
