According to latest statistics, India spends way more than their Asian brethren for iPhones and Macs.
That kinda sucks! The data comes from Linio Technology, a Latin American e-commerce company. It’s a detailed report about consumer electronics and price points from nearly six dozen countries.
“For 71 countries, we researched average prices of fourteen different popular devices, both iOS and Windows powered. Our list was then ranked by the sum of the total tech price for each country. Doing so, we quickly realised the huge influence of tariffs, taxes, and inflation on price.”
It really does upset us to know that we pay more than the others. “If Apple Inc is serious about India as a market, then it is not evident in its product pricing,” declares Quartz. And we agree completely. Take a look at this chart:
It is high time that Apple started giving Indian buyers a better deal on iPhones and Macs. In fact, we’d like to see the entire Apple product lineup losing it’s steep price tag. But for now, let’s start with iPhones and Macs that we can truly afford become cheaper.
