Apple’s WWDC introduced the new M2 MacBook Air to us this year. Apart from being super-powered with the new M2 chip, what caught the eye of many is how thin it is. Apparently, the M2 MacBook Air beats the original iPhone in the test of thickness, coming out slimmer out of the two!
To be specific, the MacBook Air is 0.44 inches thick, whereas the 2007 first-gen iPhone is 0.46. Granted, that’s not much when you look at just the numbers, but keep in mind we’re talking about a mobile phone and a laptop here. To go further beyond, let’s go with the PowerBook 180c from 1993, which is five times bulkier than the MacBook Air, standing at 2.25 inches thick.
The slim MacBook Air not only shows us how far we’ve come but also a promising future. Who knows, one day we might be able to fit a MacBook in our pockets!
Can’t wait to get your hands on the sleek new device? The M2 MacBook Air is available for preorder right now at the online Apple store, starting at ₹1,19,900.
