Louis Vuitton Smartwatch is Kicking Apple Watch’s Ass in Look and Feel!

Apple is famous for making beautiful looking gadgets: be it a phone, a smartwatch, or even a “pencil”. Louis Vuitton also has literally built their empire on making high-class, industry defining products. And now these two giants are going head-to-head in the War of the Wearables.

Louis Vuitton has created what can only be called the most beautiful looking smartwatch in the market right now. It has all the class and charm of a premium, high-grade wrist watch, and all the sophistication of a premium smartwatch! And by god, it’s giving Apple Watch a run for its money!

And it’s not all about the looks either! There’s a very real potential for the watch, given as it’s supported by two of the biggest names in the Industry. Google is running the software while Qualcomm is handling the hardware end. Quartz reports —

“Created in partnership with Google and Qualcomm, it was designed to serve the world traveler—Vuitton’s core customer—but will, of course, appeal to certain shoppers who want a smartwatch with the Louis Vuitton branding and prestige.”

This is a growing trend in the wristwatch industry. Big watchmakers are all investing in creating a smartwatch range that bears their branding but runs off of the technology of tech-giants. As observed by the New York Times:

It follows Tag Heuer’s Connected watch, the Apple Watch Hermès and Michael Kors’s Access line (in collaboration with Fossil) in an effort to, according to Michael Burke, chief executive of Louis Vuitton, combat the fact that when it comes to wearable technology, “there’s a lot of ugliness out there.”

The watch is also comptible with both iOS and Android devices. That’s another advantage it has over Apple Watch, which works only with iPhones. In fact, the Apple Watch is so dependent on iPhone that it functions more as an accessory than a stand-alone device.

We have a feeling that this battle for smartwatch suprimacy is just beginning. We cannot say who’s going to win it, but we can guarantee that it’s going to produce some of the best watches the world has ever see.
