iPhone storage space is today a costlier commodity that even gold! So if there’s an app that’s hogging way too much space, you ought to take of it.
Here’s how to find out to check the amount of storage each app is taking:
1) Open the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad.
2) Go to General > iPhone Storage & iCloud Usage.
3) Click on Manage Storage under the Storage section.
You’ll now be presented with a list of all the apps installed on your device, and how much iPhone storage space they are occupying.
You can click on each of the apps and see futher details. Some apps — like Apple Music — will even give you a detailed list of which song is occupying how much space. You can choose to delete a few specific items from the list, or just delete the entire app altogether.
Thankfully Apple has ditched the 16 GB models of iPhone. Those of us that bought them remember very vividly how very painful it was to see our iPhone storage space just vanish into thin air just months from buying the new iPhone!
Now that we’ve moved over to 32 GB versions, there’s a little bit more breathing space. But still, that’s not nearly enough to live a storage carefree life! So we hope that this guide will help you free up at least a little space on your iPhone/iPad.
