According to a new iPhone 8 rumour, Apple might completely get rid of the Touch ID from the front of the phone. The feature is likely to be integrated right into the screen, thereby eliminating the need for a physical button.
According to MacRumors:
“[…]the iPhone 8 will have the highest screen-to-body ratio of any smartphone currently available worldwide, thanks to a drastic reduction in bezels and an edge-to-edge display […] A “notch” for the front-facing camera and sensors will be the only noticeable part of the iPhone 8’s bezel design.”
Here’s a look at what the new phone might look like according to internet’s iPhone 8 rumour champion Mr Ming-Chi Kuo:

Here’s a list of other features that might be seen on the new iPhone that’s scheduled to launch in September this year:
1: The new iPhone will come out in three sizes — 4.7″, 5.2″ and 5.5″.
2: Full OLED screen will feature on at least one of the models.
3: OLED iPhone likely to have 3D sensors for facial recognition.
4: OLED iPhone likely come with a boosted RAM of 3 GB. The base model in all three variations will be 64 GB.
5: There’s good chance that the iPhones will feature an “embedded USB-C power delivery IC for higher charging efficiency”
6: New casing colour options choose from.
MacRumours concludes the post by discussing the release dates —
“For optimized promotional effect, we think Apple may unveil the three models simultaneously in September, though the launch date of the OLED version may trail that of LCD models, and supply tightness may not improve before 1H18.”
