All iPhone 6 Plus users listen up and pay attention! If your phone has been producing blurry photographs, there’s a chance Apple will replace your phone’s camera for free.
According to reports, a small number of iPhone 6 Plus handsets have defective rear iSight camera which are causing the photos to look unfocused. So, if you bought an iPhone 6 between September 2014 and January 2015, you just might be eligible to get the rear camera replaced.
Here’s how you can check your eligibility: First find the serial number of your phone by going to Settings > General > About. Tap and hold on the number so you can copy it to the clipboard. Then go to the iPhone 6 Plus iSight Camera Replacement Program page to paste the serial number in the box provided. If your phone is eligible, head to the nearest Apple authorised service provider and get the camera replaced.
However, there’s a catch: If you bought your phone in USA, you may not be able to get it repaired in India even it’s defective. This is because iPhones do not carry international warranty.
But, first things first. If you own an iPhone 6 Plus and it’s producing blurry images, checking its eligibility in this program right now. Oh, and don’t forget to get a backup of your phone before submitting it for repairs!
