iPhone 15 Pro is here, and it’s accompanied by its big brother, the iPhone 15 Pro Max. But is the new flagship iPhone worth the hype? Is it worth almost ₹1.60 lacs? For me, it’ll make sense only if someone sponsors it for me. But then again, why would they? And if they could, they’d probably just buy the phone for themselves, right?

Wishful thinking aside, let’s dig deeper into these latest Pro iPhones and find out if they’re worth the hype (and the hefty price tag!)

Difference between 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max

Price: Anyone who’s daring enough to buy the new phones should know that the iPhone 15 Pro will cost them a fortune – ₹1,34,900, to be precise, whereas the 15 Pro Max will cost an even bigger fortune – ₹1,59,900. And since I can afford neither, I can just sit back and laugh and enjoy your discomfort as you take in those prices.

Screen Size: The main visible difference is the size, obviously! Apple has gone for the same 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, respectively. However, the bezels have been made thinner. The resolution and 120Hz refresh rate also remain the same as the iPhone 14 Pro series.

Cameras: The one area that saw a big change was the camera. Apple has not only jacked up the specs, they’ve also put some effort into making the two pros different from one another. The factor differentiating the two models is the telephoto lenses. The iPhone 15 Pro is launched with a 3x 12MP telephoto camera, the same as the previous Pro iPhones. However, the iPhone 15 Pro Max has gained a 5x zoom for closer portrait shots.

These were the few differences that we observed in the new flagships. Now the question is, what are the common features that make the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max collectively a powerhouse flagship? Let’s find out.

Titanium Body: The Wonderlust event saw Apple launch a new titanium frame, making the iPhone 15 Pro the lightest Pro model ever. The iPhone 15 Pro’s overall dimensions have been reduced without impacting screen size.

Well! When Sia said, “You shoot me down, but I won’t fall. I am Titanium.”, it discussed a person’s will and power, but Apple could also use these lines during their durability tests.

Apple claims the material of Titanium used in the iPhone 15 Pro to be the same Titanium material used in the Mars Rover. I mean, wow! They truly are bringing the fanboys an ‘out of this world’ phone. He he he!

Action Button: The legendary, original, and OG silent switch has finally been retired from the Pro models. Yes. You heard it right! Apple introduced the Apple-Watch-Ultra-like Action Button on the iPhones. We can customize it as we like, either to open the camera or messages. By default, it works to switch our phone to silent or sound mode.

USB-C Port- Drumrolls, please!!!! It’s here, it is finally here! The USB-C port is finally here. iPhone’s USB-C port will even allow us to charge different Apple products like the 2nd Generation Airpods Pro, which will be a plus point .., or should I call it a ‘Pro Point’?! Apart from charging, the USB-C supports exporting photos and videos to an external storage device from the phone with a transfer speed of up to 10Gb/s.

Processor: Apple has introduced the super powerful A17 Pro Bionic chip in the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. It offers much better performance than the A16 Bionic. It’s manufactured using the 3nm process and uses two performance and four efficiency cores. Wow, that’s some speed! Right?

With its high-end processor and camera, Apple promises that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will be an ideal product to shoot cinematic videos, experience high-end gaming, and do much more.

When can we expect the new iPhone flagships? The pre-booking begins on 15th September, and we can buy them from the stores from 22nd September onwards. When I say ‘we’ can buy them, I specifically mean ‘you’ can buy them. Because humse toh na ho payega because humpe to noh hai!
