While Indians are still waiting to get their hands (literally) on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, the world has already begun the countdown for Apple’s latest showstopper, iPad Air 2. As expected, Apple has sent out the invites for its next keynote event. Obviously the invite doesn’t carry any details, but the announcement of the next generation iPad Air is all but confirmed.
Apple has officially announced a release date of October 16. The date has been marked in the calendar and people are getting ready their bag of chips and beer cans in preparation for the Keynote. Fingers are crossed and prayers are being offered to the almighty to ensure there are no technical glitches in the live streaming of the Keynote like last time when iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were launched.
If speculations are to be believed, the iPad Air 2 will run the newly-launched iOS 8 and feature an A8 processor, a Touch ID sensor, and Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities as well. However, in less than a week all the guesswork will be put to rest when the latest version of the iPad will be unveiled.
As of now, Apple iPad Air 16GB and 64GB are available for Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 42,500 respectively. Once the next generations iPads get introduced in the market, then it is believed that the prices will fall to at least Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 37,000 respectively.
Not only this, rumours are rife about Apple announcing a huge, 12.9-inch Apple iPad that maybe slated for a release in 2015. With no official confirmation from Apple, all we can do in India is wait and wait and wait ….. first for the iPhone and then the iPad.
