We have heard repeated rumours about Facebook supplementing its very popular ‘Like’ button with a Dislike option. While that hasn’t happened yet, we are about to get a different variation of the Like button in the form of emoticons. Facebook has already started testing these ‘Reactions’ and is getting mixed reviews.
These emoticons give you more options to react on a post other than just liking it. Hence the name ‘Reactions’. You can now express feelings of love, laughter, happiness, surprise, sadness, and anger. These emotions are not randomly selected. Facebook had done extensive research to decide which emotions people like to express while browsing Facebook posts.
To access these emoticons, all you need to do is press and hold the like button. All options will pop up and you can scroll to the one you want to select. Here is a video showing these emojis in action

Some people are excited about these new dimensions for expressing opinions on Facebook, while others find them to be gimmicky and feel that their novelty will wear off quickly. What do you think of these Reactions? Do you ‘Like’ them? Leave your comments below and let us know how these Reactions could change your Facebook experience.
