It’s not uncommon to have issues with Apple’s initial software update, especially on older iPhones. Post the iOS 15 update, many iPhone users have reported certain problems that have hampered their overall experience. Usually, the tech giant does release updates to address these problems. However, this usually happens over various updates. Though most of the troubles aren’t only caused by bugs, certain measures can be taken that can help you troubleshoot an irritating issue. Read on to find out common iOS 15 issues and their solutions.
Unresponsive Touchscreen
After updating to iOS 15, many iPhone users have complained about an unresponsive touchscreen. Certain users face an unresponsive screen only in a particular display area and while using a specific application. To resolve this issue, you can force restart your iPhone. Press and release the volume up button, the volume down button, then press and hold the Power button until you see the Apple logo. If the problem persists, check for app updates or delete and reinstall the application from the App Store.
Battery Draining Issues
After iOS 15.0.2, a lot of users are facing battery draining problems. For many iPhones, the smartphone isn’t lasting as long as it used to after the update. However, these common iOS 15 issues can be resolved by checking your device’s background activity and battery health post the software update. Head to Settings > Battery > Battery Health. Also, turn on Optimised Battery Charging to reduce battery ageing.
You should even check the Battery Usage by App menu to check which apps are using maximum power. Disable background activity and delete apps that you aren’t using frequently.
WiFi Connectivity Issues
If you can’t connect to WiFi after the latest iOS 15 software update, try restarting your device or turn on and off the WiFi on your iPhone from the Settings menu. If you still cannot connect to your WiFi, open the Settings app > WiFi > Tap i next to your WiFi’s name > Forget This Network. Reconnect via tapping the ID and entering the password.
Missing Personal Hotspot
Personal Hotspot is a handy feature when you want to connect your WiFi-enabled devices to your iPhone for using the internet. Certain iPhones aren’t displaying the Personal Hotspot option at all after the iOS 15 software update. To resolve this issue, go to Settings > Mobile Data > Turn off Mobile Data and wait for a few seconds. Then, turn on mobile data again and wait for the Personal Hotspot pane to appear. If you still can’t see Personal Hotspot, head to General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
