If you’re like the average Mac user, you probably hate using Safari, preferring the familiarity of the Chrome browser, instead. After all, the UI’s so intuitive and the Omnibar is a huge hit with users. Besides, there’s just something really comforting about working on Chrome. For these reasons and more, hundreds of thousands of Mac users have switched loyalties and opted for Chrome instead of Safari.
Now, apparently, there’s more reason to love Chrome. The latest update for Mac has some impressive features and promises users the ‘buttery-smooth’ performance Chrome boasted about when it was first launched!
Chrome 46 has already been tested for several weeks and is ready to blow everyone’s mind! Memory consumption has gone down by more than half and the tabs are faster than ever! It doesn’t eat into Mac’s battery life (Thank God!) and neither does it get heated so quickly. Hurray!
All this has been possible because of improvements made to Mac graphics performance. Also, there’s a new feature that puts unused/inactive background tabs to sleep when memory starts to get low. Isn’t that brilliant?
The real question is how will this latest update in Chrome match up to the new Safari being launched this year with OS X El Capitan? Only time will tell. In the meanwhile, we dream of a world that’s ruled by Chrome in all its friendliness. That gives us such a warm and fuzzy feeling inside!
