Keep Calm and Get Fit..!
With the unveiling of the Watch Series 6, Apple’s commitment towards health and fitness has been cemented. By adding more sensors to the Apple Watch, it is helping users get an insight into their health. The event yesterday even ran a campaign on ‘How Apple Watch Saves Life‘, and I have to say that those stories were quite inspiring.
All of us, including Apple, understand that fitness is essential to attaining good health. Workouts keep you in shape and boost immunity, and the times we live in, good health is the greatest wealth you could have. Unfortunately, not everyone who pays for a gym subscription goes to one and these days, stepping outdoors comes with its own challenges and concerns. In times like this, a virtual trainer could really help to keep us in good shape.
With Apple Fitness+, WFH will have a new full meaning – Workout From Home. Apple says their virtual fitness assistance is made for the Apple Watch. Users can still start a workout session on their iPhones, iPads, or Apple TV, and it will be automatically synced to the Watch for tracking and in-depth analysis. You can watch and copy the workout and your wearable tech will sync your progress.
The Apple Fitness+ will go live by the end of 2020. It will have industry-leading fitness trainers like Bakari William, Molley Fox, Ben Allen, Dustin Brown, Anja Gracia, and Jhon Gonzalez. Right now, Apple has only revealed US-based prices that start at $9.90 per month or $79.99 per year and has also given three months of free subscription once you buy a Watch S6. That said, Apple hasn’t made it clear when this service will be available in India. I hope it gets here soon.
I’m always excited about all that Apple offers, and the Fitness+ is no exception. If it does come to India, I’m definitely signing up. I just hope I don’t end up paying for the subscription and getting too lazy to start workouts. I’d much rather not end up on my couch binge-watching instead of working out, but if I do, I at least hope there’s something good to watch on Apple TV+!
