For the 10th year in a running, Apple has been crowned the Most Admired Company. Basically, Apple is the Virat Kohli of tech companies!
This is the first a company has been able to achieve this feat. There have been other companies that have been able to attain the top ranking multiple times, however, none of them has been able to stay there for a decade straight.
Apple is followed by Amazon and Starbucks in second and third place respectively, while Microsoft is a joint 9th place with Facebook.
Here’s the full list for this year’s ranking:
It’s an annual list published by Fortune, and obviously, a rigorous method of valuation is followed.
“Corporations eligible for the Fortune list were picked from the 1,000 biggest U.S. firms in terms of revenue, combined with 500 international businesses with revenue over $10 billion. The magazine ultimately narrowed down its list to 680 companies —spread across 28 countries —before asking people to rank them.” (Source)
It’s a testament to the “confidence-ecosystem” that Apple’s built with its customers that they continue to show such great faith in the brand they love and admire. We wish Apple a decade more at the top because, for us, it’s always the most admired company!
