The wait is over, folks. And those of us who’d been patiently looking forward to a few specific announcements have reason to be optimistic. Yes! Apple’s finally announced its highly-anticipated October 2021 event, titled “Unleashed”. And we’re here to bring you all the deets, from what you should expect to where you can watch, so read on!
The What, When, and Where
Get ready, because the next Apple event is on 18 October 2021! After a (somewhat) packed September event, Apple’s back with another only a month later. Once again, it will be held completely virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. They’ll be streaming the event on their website, YouTube, and on Apple TV+.
Last month, the Cupertino company announced the new iPhone 13, iPad 9 and mini, and the Apple Watch Series 7 alongside several services announcements. However, there were a couple of glaring announcements missing, and we hope to see those this time around.
What We’re Expecting in New Releases for 2021
I’m sure you were just as disappointed as we were when Apple concluded the previous event without a single word on the AirPods 3 and the much-awaited “M1X” chip-powered 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros.
We’re especially excited about the upcoming AirPods 3, expecting them to feature a design similar to the AirPods Pro, just without the ANC. Read more on what we’re expecting from AirPods 3 here.
As for the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, we’re expecting a redesigned look featuring a mini-LED display, more ports like HDMI and SD card slots, MagSafe charging, and, finally, no more Touch Bar. We’re expecting Apple will continue towards their “flatter” vision for products, introducing a design similar to the flat edges of the latest iPhone, iPad, and iMac. Additionally, we might just see a new Mac mini at the upcoming Apple event.
