The magnificent Apple Campus 2, more popularly known as “The Spaceship”, is nearly ready, and people can start moving in before the end of the month!
- The huge facility is going to be Apple’s new office.
- The building is totally green. It will generate its own power through the solar panels installed on the roof.
- “70% of the solar panels are now in place atop the Spaceship and workers are still feverishly trying to get the rest up and running,” reports Fortune magazine.
- It has a specially constructed auditorium where Apple will hold all the major events from now on.
- The building was Steve Jobs’ vision and design, and as such, his final legacy.
- Spanning a humongous 2.8 million square feet, Apple Campus 2 will be able to accommodate a whopping 12,000 employees at the same time.
- Apple had announced that they would move into the building before the end of 2017. But from the looks of things, it might move in much sooner than that.
Here’s the most recent drone footage of the nearly constructed Apple Campus 2. It’s called “Spaceship” because of the way it looks from above. This video will leave no doubt in your mind about how aptly it has been named!
This drone footage of Apple Campus 2 has been shot by Matthew Roberts, a documentarian who has been working onsite for several months now.
