We are back with yet another post on iPhone 7 rumours! We know, we know… we’ve already written multiple posts on the same topic, but what can we do!? The Internet keeps churning out all these tidbits and we can’t help but dance around like young cheerleaders!
But this is the absolute last one. At least, the last we know of. Grin-grin!
On that vague promise, here are all the rumours that have suddenly surfaced about the phone that’s creating massive ripples even before its release!
Preorder and shipping dates
VentureBeat reporter Evan Blass has claimed that preorder for iPhone 7 will start from September 9th. However, he hasn’t quoted any source, so we ‘re not really sure of the authenticity of the claim.
Confirmed: Pre-orders start on the 9th. You can extrapolate the launch event date from there. https://t.co/gwoPzIM1dI

Besides, this news doesn’t really do anything to excite us. Preorder or not, you will be able to get your hands on the new iPhone by 19th September, because that’s when the phone is supposed to start shipping. It’s only a matter of 10 days and we’re not all that fussed.
photos of the logic board
Photos have surfaced on Weibo, the Chinese microblogging site, which show the logic board “before any of the device’s chips have been added onto the circuit board.” Macrumors confirmed that the layout of the board is pretty much the same as those of the previous iPhone models.

The images show only one slot for the sim card, so our theory of a Dual Sim iPhone 7 is gone for good!
no iphone 7 pro
This time around, we were expecting to see three variations of the iPhone instead of the usual two – iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPhone 7 Pro.
However, CultofMac is reporting that the iPhone 7 Pro will not see the light of day. The reasons for Apple’s change of heart are unknown, so we’ll just have to engage in speculation again.
Maybe Apple didn’t think the timeline would work out. Or maybe Apple wants to reserve the best phones for its 2017 launch, when it celebrates the 10th anniversary of the iPhone! Whatever the reason, the iPhone 7 Pro looks highly unlikely now.
Pressure sensitive home button
Apple is looking to bring their 3D Touch/Force Touch feature to the iPhone’s classic home button. There’s also a possibility that Apple might do away with the physical home button altogether and replace it with a multi-pressure responsive touch screen type of interface. Pretty cool, huh?
Leaked video of camera software test
Finally, we have a video where a device that’s supposed to be an iPhone 7 is running a test software checking for the camera quality. Here:
AppleInsider confirms that the test software shown in the video is the same that most new iPhones are put through when they are stress tested. However, we have to say that the blur that’s forced onto the video when the phone is turned over is a shady bit of editing. We are not impressed with that.
In a month, we’ll know which of these rumours are true, and which were the flights of a fan’s imagination! Meanwhile, don’t miss out on some of the more interesting posts we have written on iPhone 7.
