Two Major Apple Bugs Found: Here’s All You Need to Know

All those who thought that Apple was impervious to bugs and virus – this news might come as a surprise to you. The almighty Apple isn’t immune to Meltdown and Spectre – the major bugs that have created a turmoil in the computing industry in the last 24 hours.

That’s right – your Apple laptop is vulnerable and your don’t care attitude is not going to help you survive this problem.

After a day of saying absolutely nothing, Apple finally released “mitigations for Meltdown in iOS 11.2, macOS 10.13.2, and tvOS 11.2” to counter the problem. So, devices such as Apple Watch and Apple TV are safe, since Meltdown affects Intel processors and these gadgets don’t have any. Spectre is the trickier of the two, and the company has said that they will “release an update for Safari on macOS and iOS in the coming days to mitigate these exploit techniques.

Fortunately, Apple has cleared that although “All Mac systems and iOS devices are affected, but there are no known exploits impacting customers at this time. Since exploiting many of these issues requires a malicious app to be loaded on your Mac or iOS device, we recommend downloading software only from trusted sources such as the App Store.

So, unless you are willing to take your chances and be the first lucky victim, make sure that all your devices are up to date and you don’t download any suspicious looking software or apps. Kapish?
