The New iOS 11.0.2 Update is Especially Important for iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus Users

iOS 11.0.2

No more long faces for iPhone 8  and 8 Plus buyers! Apple saves the day (hopefully) by releasing a minor but significant iOS update on Tuesday after multiple users complained about a crackling sound during ceullar and FaceTime calls. No need for “I can’t  hear you babe” *rustling paper* excuse, Apple surely solved this one for you!

The bug was initially perceived as a hardware problem, but soon after Apple cleared the misunderstanding (and breathing life into many who blew their budget for the iPhone 8) by fixing the issue with a beta version of iOS 11.1.  After successfully testing the fix, the company decided not to make the users wait for the iOS 11.1 update (thankfully) and shipped the iOS 11.0.2  to the disappointed and annoyed iPhone 8 and 8 Plus buyers. Apart from fixing the high-pitched static noise, the iOS 11.0.2 update also included fixes for a photo bug which made few photos hidden and another where attachments in S/MIME-encrypted emails would not open.

The iOS 11.0.2  is the second update since the new Apple OS came into the play last month.  The update is available for iPhone,  iPad and iPod Touch and can be downloaded from ‘Settings’  app on your iPhone.  Head over to the ‘General’  section, then click on the ‘Software Update’ and then follow the instructions as listed.

Make sure you are connected to your WiFi and have all your data backed up before initiating the update. Trust us, losing your data is worse than losing your kidney, which you might be planning to sell for the iPhone X!
