According to the latest survey by CyberMedia Research (CMR), OnePlus has left behind Apple and Samsung in terms of customer satisfaction.
And it’s not the victory that’s shocking by itself, it’s the margin of victory that is simply astounding. As quoted by fonearena —
“OnePlus has achieved the highest customer satisfaction rating of all time, as 100% of OnePlus buyers are satisfied with the brand.”
CMR’s research was conducted to measure “consumer aspirations, preferences and challenges, and dislikes around smartphone brands”. Apart from these, the company also looked at other important parameters such as resale-value and ease of accessing services. OnePlus has gained a lot of goodwill from its flagship OnePlus 5, however, the real boosters for its score were OnePlus 3 and 3T.
Curiously enough, the survey pointed out that:
“Apple users are the most loyal smartphone customers in the country and consumers will continue to trust in this brand in future.”
I think Tim Cook will take some heart from knowing that people are still loyal to his brand. But the problem is that the number of people who fall under that category is just not enough to have an impact on the market. Yes, Apple has only just started focusing on India (in the past couple of years, at best), but that’s not where the problem lies.
The real problem is that Apple is still not sure of its own strategy. In fact, sometimes it feels like they don’t even want you to buy their products!
