We have already spoken about the possibility of Apple launching a 10.5 inch iPad Pro this year. A couple of months earlier, the rumour seemed to have died out, but now it has found new wind again!
AppleInsider reports —
“Apple is also expected to announce a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro with a redesigned chassis at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference next month. There is over 70 percent likelihood that the new iPad Pro is unveiled at the WWDC keynote.”
As discussed earlier, the 10.5 inch iPad Pro will be similar to how the current 9.7-inch one feels in the hand. That’s because the larger screen is accommodated by a narrow bezel. The new bezel-less display is supposedly for the enterprise markets, who need a lot of screen space for running enterprise apps.
Apple feels that the new 10.5 inch iPad Pro could be a huge success. Some analysts predict that the device might grab as much as 15% of the total iPad business in 2017.
In the meantime, Apple is also expected to launch a Siri Home Speaker system alongside the 10.5 inch iPad Pro. The new speaker is going to be a direct competition to the Amazon Echo speaker.
These rumours/leaks all come from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, who has had a good record of producing Apple rumours. Meaning that, most often, rumours from Kuo turn out to be true.
